1. Introduction
SkillAmpify operates an online marketplace for courses. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors, learners, and instructors, how we use and share it, and how to contact us about privacy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you register, purchase or take a course, apply to teach, publish a course, contact us, or request a payout. Depending on your activity, this includes your name, email address, account credentials, profile and biography, course content, messages, course enrollment and progress, purchases, earnings, withdrawal requests, payout details, and information needed for applicable tax reporting. Please do not send bank account or tax identification information by ordinary email.
Our site and service providers may also collect device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, referral information, cookies, and records of site activity. We may receive payment status and transaction details from our checkout and payment providers.
3. Payments and instructor payouts
Student payments are handled through our checkout and payment providers, including WooCommerce and Stripe. Payment providers process payment details under their own privacy notices. SkillAmpify receives information needed to confirm purchases, provide course access, address refunds or disputes, and maintain records. We do not need a complete card number to enroll a learner.
For instructors, we use sales, earnings, withdrawal requests, and payout information to calculate amounts owed and administer payouts. Instructors may provide bank account, routing, or similar financial information in their account's withdrawal settings. This information is stored in the website database and encrypted while stored. Instructors can view and manage their own banking information through their accounts. When SkillAmpify reviews a withdrawal request, the administrative view displays masked banking details together with the instructor, requested amount, withdrawal method, and request status. SkillAmpify uses information available through the designated payout process to review the request and send payment manually. Stripe Connect is not currently used for instructor payouts.
Banking information associated with an instructor account is removed when that account is deleted, subject to any records SkillAmpify must retain for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or financial-recordkeeping purposes. Please do not send bank account or tax identification information by ordinary email.
4. How we use information
We use information to run accounts and courses; process purchases, enrollment, refunds, earnings, and payouts; provide support; send service notices; maintain financial records; prevent fraud and abuse; improve site performance; comply with law; and send marketing messages where permitted. You can opt out of marketing emails through their unsubscribe link. Transactional and account notices may continue.
5. Sharing
We share information as needed with hosting, learning management, checkout, payment, analytics, email, security, support, and financial service providers. Instructors may receive information about their enrolled learners needed to teach and support a course. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the platform, or in a business transfer. We do not sell personal information for money.
6. Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies may keep you signed in, support checkout and course progress, remember preferences, and help us understand site use. Browser settings can restrict cookies, though parts of the site may stop working. Any separate cookie notice or consent controls should describe the actual tools installed.
7. Security and retention
We take reasonable administrative and technical steps designed to protect information, including encryption of instructor banking information while it is stored in the website database and masking banking details in the administrative withdrawal-request view. No online system is completely secure. We keep information for as long as needed to operate accounts and courses, process payouts, resolve disputes, preserve financial records, and meet legal obligations, then delete or deidentify it as appropriate.

9. Age eligibility and external services
SkillAmpify is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit minors to create accounts or purchase courses. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided personal information. Linked sites and third-party services have their own privacy practices.
