How do instructors set pricing for their courses?

Instructors have full control over course pricing on SkillAmpify.
You choose the price for each course you publish and may update pricing at any time. During the beta phase, SkillAmpify does not enforce minimum or maximum pricing requirements.

How does the revenue share work?

For each paid enrollment
• Instructors earn 80% of net revenue
• SkillAmpify retains 20% as a platform, technology, and transaction facilitation fee
This model supports secure payments, course hosting, learner access, and ongoing platform improvements

How are student payments processed?

All student payments are processed securely through SkillAmpify’s checkout system.
Students pay SkillAmpify directly at checkout using Stripe and WooCommerce. Upon successful payment, students receive immediate access to their purchased courses. Instructors do not need to manage payment collection or billing.

When and how do instructors get paid?

Instructor earnings are calculated automatically based on completed, non-refunded transactions.
Payouts are issued monthly, typically within the first five (5) business days following the close of the prior month. Earnings are paid in consolidated amounts rather than per-sale deposits to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Why are payouts issued monthly instead of per sale?

Monthly payouts allow SkillAmpify to:
• Account for refunds and disputes.
• Reduce payout errors.
• Provide clear and predictable earnings statements.
• Deliver a streamlined experience for instructors.
This approach is common across professional learning platforms and marketplaces

What happens if a student requests a refund or files a chargeback?

If a student refund, chargeback, or disputed transaction occurs:
• The affected enrollment will be excluded from payout calculations.
• Previously issued payouts may be adjusted if necessary.
• Payouts related to unresolved disputes may be delayed or withheld.
This process helps protect both instructors and students while maintaining platform integrity.

Do instructors need their own Stripe account?

No. Instructors are not required to set up or connect their own Stripe accounts during the beta phase.
SkillAmpify manages payment processing and payouts on behalf of instructors. Additional payout options may be introduced in the future as the platform evolves.

Are instructor payouts automatic?

Instructor earnings are calculated automatically. Payouts are issued on a scheduled monthly basis rather than in real time.

This ensures accurate reporting, supports refund review periods, and allows SkillAmpify to deliver reliable, consistent payouts.

What taxes are instructors responsible for?

Instructors are responsible for their own tax obligations related to earnings received from SkillAmpify.
Depending on location and earnings thresholds, tax documentation or reporting requirements may apply. SkillAmpify will communicate any required information in advance.

Will SkillAmpify introduce direct or instant payouts in the future?

SkillAmpify plans to introduce additional payout automation and direct payment integrations as the platform grows.
Any updates to payout methods or earnings workflows will be communicated clearly to instructors before implementation.
