Instructor Earnings and Payout Policy
Effective date
October 1, 2026
1. Introduction
This policy explains how SkillAmpify calculates and pays earnings for instructors who sell courses through the platform. It forms part of the Instructor Agreement when that agreement incorporates it. Please review it before publishing a paid course.
2. Course prices and sales
Instructors set their course prices. SkillAmpify collects student payments through its checkout and payment providers. A sale counts toward instructor earnings after successful payment and subject to refunds, disputes, and adjustments below. Free enrollments do not generate earnings. Price changes apply prospectively to new purchases.
3. Revenue share and net revenue
For each eligible paid enrollment, the instructor receives 80% of net revenue and SkillAmpify retains 20%. For this policy, net revenue means the amount remaining from the student's payment after Stripe or another payment provider deducts its processing fees and after applicable discounts, refunds, transaction taxes, chargebacks, reversals, and similar transaction adjustments. Tutor LMS applies the 80/20 revenue split to the remaining amount. A partial refund reduces the associated net revenue proportionally. Instructors can view their recorded earnings through their Tutor LMS accounts.
Illustrative example: If a $100 course payment has a $3 payment-processing fee and no other deductions, the remaining $97 is used for the revenue calculation. The instructor's 80% share would be $77.60 and SkillAmpify's 20% share would be $19.40. Actual processing fees, taxes, discounts, refunds, and other adjustments vary.
4. Eligibility and schedule
SkillAmpify calculates earnings from successfully completed transactions. Earnings remain pending for seven days before becoming available for withdrawal. An instructor must have at least $100 in available earnings to request a payout. Reaching $100 or completing the waiting period does not automatically initiate payment. The instructor must submit a withdrawal request through the platform.
After a request is submitted, SkillAmpify reviews the instructor, amount, withdrawal method, request status, and any relevant refunds, disputes, reversals, or errors. Approved payouts are sent manually. A bank holiday, missing or invalid payout information, an unresolved dispute, or a processing issue may delay an affected payout.
5. Payout method and information
During the beta phase, SkillAmpify administers manual payouts after an eligible instructor requests a withdrawal and SkillAmpify approves it. Instructors do not need their own Stripe account, and Stripe Connect is not currently used for instructor payouts. Instructors must provide accurate payout details in the designated withdrawal settings and promptly update them. Banking details are masked in SkillAmpify's administrative withdrawal-request view. Do not email bank details. The Privacy Policy explains how payout data is handled. A future automated method will be announced before it applies.
6. Refunds, reversals, and disputes
Refunded or charged-back amounts are excluded from eligible earnings. SkillAmpify may temporarily hold the amount attributable to a disputed transaction while it is resolved. If a reversal occurs after a payout, the instructor's share of the reversal and associated attributable fees may be offset against future earnings; if no future earnings are available, we will contact the instructor to resolve the balance. We will provide a reasonable explanation of any adjustment. SkillAmpify will not withhold unrelated, undisputed earnings indefinitely.
7. Statements, errors, and taxes
Instructors can review available earnings records and should email **info@skillampify.com** about a discrepancy within 30 days after receiving the relevant payout or statement. We will review and correct verified errors; this reporting window does not waive rights provided by law. Instructors are responsible for their own tax obligations. SkillAmpify may request tax information and issue tax forms where required by applicable law; the reporting form and threshold depend on the transaction and current rules.
8. Account closure and changes
On account closure, eligible unpaid earnings remain payable after reasonable reconciliation of refunds, disputes, and lawful offsets, provided we have valid payout information. SkillAmpify may update this policy prospectively and will notify instructors of material changes before they take effect. The terms applicable to an existing sale will not be changed retroactively without agreement, except as required by law.
