How Payments Work

SkillAmpify is built to make it simple for instructors to share their expertise while we handle the technology, payments, and learner experience.

Instructors set their own prices, earn the majority of revenue from each enrollment, and receive predictable payouts on a scheduled basis.

You Set Your Own Course Pricing

As an instructor on SkillAmpify, you have full control over how your courses are priced.

  • You choose the price for each course you publish.
  • You may update pricing as your content evolves.
  • SkillAmpify does not dictate minimum or maximum pricing during the beta phase.

Revenue Share Model

For every paid enrollment:

  • Instructors earn 80% of net revenue.
  • SkillAmpify retains 20% as a platform, technology, and transaction facilitation fee.

This model allows SkillAmpify to provide secure payments, hosting, learner access, support tools, and ongoing platform improvements.

How Student Payments Are Processed

All student payments are processed securely through SkillAmpify’s checkout system.

  • Students pay SkillAmpify directly at checkout.
  • Payments are handled via Stripe and WooCommerce.
  • Students receive immediate access to purchased courses upon successful payment.

Instructors do not need to manage payment collection or student billing.

Instructor Earnings & Payouts

Instructor earnings are calculated automatically based on completed, non-refunded transactions.
Payout Schedule:

  • Instructor payouts are issued monthly.
  • Payouts are typically processed within the first five (5) business days following the close of the prior month.
  • This timing allows for standard refund and dispute review periods.

SkillAmpify issues payouts in consolidated amounts rather than per-sale deposits to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Refunds and Adjustments

If a student refund, chargeback, or disputed transaction occurs:

  • The affected enrollment will be excluded from payout calculations.
  • Previously issued payouts may be adjusted if required.
  • SkillAmpify reserves the right to delay or withhold payouts related to unresolved disputes or policy violations.

This approach protects both instructors and learners while maintaining a trusted marketplace.

Taxes and Reporting

Instructors are responsible for their own tax obligations related to earnings received from SkillAmpify.

Additional tax documentation or reporting requirements may apply based on location and earnings thresholds. SkillAmpify will communicate any required information in advance.

Future Enhancements

SkillAmpify plans to introduce additional payout automation and direct payment integrations as the platform grows.
Any updates to payout methods or earnings workflows will be communicated clearly to instructors before implementation.
